V Rising is doing a great job when it comes to customisability of the experience letting players choose from various options and modifiers. One of the most important ones is related to blood essence drain of your castle’s heart. Once it’s drained, it will no longer power fortress’ structures, pausing their operation. Not only this, but also your home’s defences will be deactivated leaving it completely vulnerable. Many players do not like this mechanic, so they try to have it turned off or at least mitigated as much as possible.
