Upon starting Tears of the Kingdom, you are convinced that it is a direct sequel to Breath of the Wild – Link and Zelda are there, they look the same as they did in Breath of the Wild, and you’re even given the chance to control Link during the introduction when he has 30 hearts and maxed stamina.
You might find it quite pointless to have all of that at the start of a new game, don’t you think? As a result, freshly rehydrated Ganon will take care of that, leaving you with only three heart containers when you start the game. Are you wondering how many heart containers you can regain during Tears of the Kingdom?

What is the Maximum Number of Hearts That You Can Get in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom?
Unlike Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom allows players to have 40 hearts each and three wheels of stamina. However, you can’t have both at once. For maximum stamina, you can have 38 heart containers, still eight more than in Breath of the Wild.
Although Tears of the Kingdom is much more challenging and dangerous, it is not a bad idea to get as many Heart Containers as possible. Horned Statue has a detailed guide where you can sacrifice stamina to get 40 heart containers. Two additional Heart Containers can be obtained by trading half a Stamina Wheel for 40 Heart Containers.
