As you might be surprised, Starfield is a video game. Video games offer different gameplay features, such as gunplay, levels, and status effects. Sometimes these status effects come with buffs that can boost your confidence. It turns out that Starfield also has status effects with buffs! For instance, did you know that if you sleep with a companion, you get an XP boost? What’s that? Are you thinking I’m just kidding? Yes, it’s true, and the best part is that it’s literally called “emotional security.”
A little tip shared on Starfield‘s subreddit said the boost gave you +15 XP while it was active. In contrast to what you usually get when sleeping in a bed without a companion, this seems to be the biggest XP boost in the game. Bethesda is saying that if you invest in its game, you get something extra, as well as emotional security. It’s not a new thing for Bethesda, since the same perk was also available in Fallout 4: Lover’s Embrace.
