Spider-Man has always been an important part of my life, going back to some of the earliest gaming memories I have. Not only was I a huge fan of the comics when I was growing up, but experiencing his trials and tribulations through a variety of different video games has left a lasting impact on me. Since I first played Spider-Man on my PlayStation 1, I have always been on board with more thrilling Spider-Man games. Does Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 shrink the world in order to create an intimate experience, or does it offer a massive playground to play on?
What is the open world like in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2?
If you’re hoping for more of the same, you’ll be disappointed here… or rather, you’ll be delighted, since Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is not just open world, but it is even bigger than it has ever been. With Brooklyn and Queens included in Spider-Man 2, the open-world map is almost double the size of the first game. This is something that only the PlayStation 5 can deliver, so it might be time to upgrade.
