How to Give Direct Commands to Allies
Open the Tactics Menu: You can give direct commands to allies by pressing up on the D-Pad of your controller to open the tactics menu. Note that you must do this during the protagonist’s turn so that you can give orders and change how they behave.
Give an Order to All Members: Next, you will want to give an order to all allies. This can be done by selecting the Order tab and then choosing All Members. Once here, you give everyone direct commands so that you can control everyone manually.
