Kingdom Come: Deliverance release has been postponed to February 2025. This means that it will fight in the GOTY battle, even with GTA 6! After playing KCD2 for some time, I am delighted with the game, and so far, my vote is in favor of the Czech RPG. This info Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Hands-On – My Personal Candidate for GOTY 2025 was first published on Gamepressure.com 21 August 2024.

If you have experience of the London rental market, there is but one way you can react to a game – a French game, no less, the cultural product of a country where two-bed apartments apparently grow on trees – that promises to maroon you in a sprawling labyrinth of flats. “Haha, alright for some!” you chortle despairingly, after freeing yourself from the laundry basket and retrieving your trousers from the fridge. “I bet labyrinths have more than one window,” you sob, as you yet again tackle the problem of opening the front door without becoming part of the wall.…

Now, I never played quite as much as our Brendy did of the original Splitgate. But I had a fun time with its mixture of Halo-esque trigger pulling and portalling around! So I was intrigued to give the alpha version of Splitgate 2 a go and see if it had a little more substance to it than its initial reveal, which gave off a, “it’s Splitgate but with more money” feel. Well, I think it’s… a bit serious? It certainly has more polish and some extra additions, yet I didn’t come away from it thrilled by its more competitive, class-based…

Another great heads up for you all, as we’ve recently been told through Facebook, that Clebin Games is working on a high quality ZX Spectrum 128k remake of the 1980’s game of Gilligan’s Gold / Bagman. A game which spawned a number of more recent versions for the Amiga and C64 such as Bagman Strikes Back, Bagman Comes Back, and Super Bagman. To coincide with this news, we’ve got the Read More

Earlier today, old man James wagged a finger at us all sternly for not writing about Atomfall before. My turn to puff out my cheeks and look not angry, just disappointed: why haven’t we covered The Stone Of Madness prior to the below Gamescom 2024 story trailer? I mean, it’s only a real-time tactical stealth game set in a cursed 18th century Jesuit monastery, developed by the people behind gorgeously gross metroidvania Blasphemous. It’s only got isometric art inspired by Goya and a sanity/trauma system redolent of Darkest Dungeon. Sounds like an automatic RPS write-up to me. Read more  Read…

I shouldn’t be too surprised really. If a park sim based on Tim Burton’s 1996 B-Movie homage Mars Attacks wasn’t on my bingo card, it’s because I’ve recently binned it and replaced it with a bobble head that simply nods in amused acceptance at whatever videogames decide to do next. And conceptually, Jurassic World Evolution with captive humans instead of dinos isn’t not a potential winner, is it? Still, I was mildly bemused to learn that Mars Attracts, coming sometime next year, is the film’s first licensed game. But then I realised that I’d never thought to check before, which…

It is perhaps deeply ungrateful of me that, when presented with the squirrel with a gun of Squirrel With A Gun, my immediate reaction is to thrust out my bowl like a ballsy victorian urchin and ask for additional squirrel information. It’s not that developer Dee Dee Creations haven’t shown off the game in action. It’s just that I find myself rooting so hard for this not to just be a vapid bit of meme-ware that I’m getting more concerned as we rapidly approach its 29th August release. Read more  Read More

Earlier this year, Bungie’s 1990s sci-fi shooter, Marathon, came to Steam for free. And Marathon 2 followed in July. But this series is a trilogy. Where’s the third one? I want the thir– oh, it’s here now. Yesterday, the final game, Marathon Infinity trickled onto the storefront, offering a neat little bundle for fans of retro shooters. But it’s also a reminder that we’ve yet to see more of Bungie’s upcoming reboot. Read more  Read More
