Baldur’s Gate 3 won’t be on my plate for the foreseeable future, which is a disappointment to me. Does my plate of games have a lot on it, and will it be for eight years? That’s true, but it’s not the real reason. Or does the game take over my life so that I ignore my professional and personal obligations? That’s also true, but it’s still not the case. There are bugs involved. Related: Secrets to Baldur’s Gate 3 Bugs on End Game Content
The bugs in Baldur’s Gate 3 aren’t uncommon, and they’re usually tolerable nuisances. Act 1 and 2 had no significant bug encounters, except minor graphics issues, texture pop-ins, and noticeable delays between when an NPC stops talking and when my dialogue choices appear. In Act 3, I encountered an apparent bug that was so annoying I just couldn’t continue until it was fixed. Ignorant.
