Throughout more than 600 rooms, you must navigate your way through them in order to uncover the secrets of your past and find the five elemental orbs. Cathedral offers a vast world that must be explored in its entirety.
Similar to Alwa’s Awakening; Cathedral is another wonderful example of the Platformer Metroidvania genre. The graphics pop which again, is what gets my attention when selecting a game for my Picks List. Who doesn’t like a Knight in Shining Armor! – Donnie, Editor, GFB
Cathedral: The Story
Suddenly find yourself in a world where you have no memory of how you got there. Cathedral features a vast world, full of hidden rooms, dungeons and towns, so you must explore it! You play a nameless protagonist, a knight from another world, who teams up with a spirit known as Soul to explore this world. Find out what makes this world tick, and how to return home.
Take part in an epic quest to find the five elemental orbs, which were placed in ancient times by the demi-god Ardur. Navigate the dungeons, meet the guardians head-on in combat, and find out if you can overcome them. Throughout your journey, you’ll find magical items that allow you to explore further, and reach new dungeons and towns.
