With Season 1 approaching and players running out of content to grind at higher levels, a recent rumour is that following rats can lead to good loot in Diablo 4. Despite sounding plausible, I’ll let you know if it’s real or if you can find some loot.
Does Following the Rate Lead to Loot in Diablo 4?
Diablo 4 will not reward you with better loot if you follow rats. This idea was started on the Diablo 4 subreddit by user Zerger45 and was titled “Follow the Rats.” Following rats in places like dungeons will lead you directly to some of the best loot, like Legendary or Unique items, the claim is. Even worse, Sanctuary souls will chase scurrying rats around dark dungeons as more players support the theory with screenshots.
Sadly, the reality is much less interesting. Even if the posts are a joke, there’s always a chance. However, I found nothing and felt more like a deranged Bloodborne character. Some players will find loot at the end of the rat rainbow out of thousands of players in Diablo 4. Most of us will look like Diablo 4 monsters.
