Only your progress on the first episode of the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth’s (FF7 Rebirth) two-part demo will be carried over. Learn how to transfer demo progress, what carries over, as well as the rewards for completing the demo in this guide!
Nibelheim Progress Will Be Carried Over to the Full Game
The first part of the demo, released on February 6, 2024, will cover the Nibelheim episode of the full game. Completing it allows players to skip the same part on the full game and continue their journey where they left it.
Junon Progress Not Included
The Junon episode will come at a later date for the demo, which will be released on February 21, 2024, more than a week before the full game release. This will only be available after completing the Nibelheim episode of the demo.
Since the events in this part of the demo were altered and will happen much later on in the game, demo progress in Junon will not be carried over.
Kupo Charm and Survival Set
Players who has a save data present on their PS5 will be able to claim the Kupo Charm accessory and a Survival Set containing a bunch of consumables for the full game!
Demo Reward | Description |
---|---|
Kupo Charm | Increases the number of resource items extracted at a set rate |
Survival Set | Contains items to aid on your adventure, such as potions and ethers |
Install the Latest Update on the Full Game
It’s likely that there will be a “Day One” update for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth as you will need the latest version of the game installed to carry over your demo progress.
The demo save data must also be on the PS5 when you start playing the full game. Once the data is found, you should receive the two demo rewards and the ability to skip the Nibelheim episode.
