Forecasting in video games refers to how much resource we think a particular project, milestone or task will require and how much time it will take. Through a combination of data, experience of the team, creativity and (probably more than we’d care to admit) luck, production teams are becoming increasingly able to balance people vs product, and more accurately prepare for the long journey of making a game.
