One of the first demigods and shard bearers you will encounter in Elden Ring is Godrick the Grafted, ruler of Stormveil Castle. Gideon and Kenneth view him as weak and unworthy of ruling the kingdom since he is a descendant of Godfrey. It is the arms and legs of soldiers that have been grafted onto Godrick, particularly the dragon head that has been grafted onto his left arm in the second phase of the battle, that give him his power. The armor of his knights and soldiers is emblazoned with a two-headed war axe and the beast regent, Serosh.

Godrick Secret: Give way to Godrick’s Axe Stomp
Godrick The Grafted fights with a mighty Axe. In phase one of the fight, Godrick will raise and then stomp his axe causing the ground to rise and reverberate. Give him plenty of room so that you are not caught in the rubble.
Godrick Secret: Back up when You See Godrick’s Axe Spin.
Another of Godrick’s phase one attacks is his Axe Spin. He will raise his axe and spin it around 360 degrees twice. After the second complete spin, he will charge forward. The centrifugal force will cause you damage if you do not give him enough room to complete the attack.
Godrick Secret: Avoid Godrick’s Wind Blast Attack
Another of Godrick’s phase one attacks is a wind blast. He will roll forward and spin producing a whirlwind effect that will cause you damage if caught in it. You can help avoid this attack by quickly learning to roll both right and left.
Godrick Secret: Roll & Flank Godrick when he Pounces
Godrick the Grafted will leap high into the air and then pounce nearly on top of you. The recommended response can be difficult to learn at first. As soon as Godrick lands in front of you roll right (or left) and at the same time, position yourself on his flank or behind. This maneuver, if successful will expose Godrick to a critical strike.
Godrick Secret: Avoid Godrick’s Dragon Arm
In the second phase of the fight, Godrick will animate and mount a dragon skull on his left arm. This dragon is mean as all get out and fast to boot. You do not want to get caught flat-footed, or else be swallowed whole by the dragon. When you need to heal or summon, do it WITH PLENTY OF ROOM BETWEEN YOU. The two illustrations below are all that are needed to warn you. Take heed!
Godrick Secret: Use the Open Space to Your Advantage
Give Godrick and yourself a lot of room to maneuver. This allows you more time to calculate when you should move in for an attack. It also forces Godrick to perform more ranged attacks and telegraph them in advance. This gives you a bit more time to react with a strategy.
