How to Change to Classic Controls at the Battle Hub in SF6
Street Fighter 6’s Battle Hub defaults to Modern Controls when you play matches online. If you want classic controls, hit the Square button/X button to access the profile. Select the character by clicking on the “Details” button. Click “Details” again to change the outfit, color, and everything else.

There is a button here that will allow you to apply this change to every character in the game. You need to do this with every character you play. The Classic Control type lets you switch every character and never think about it again if you want to play with it.
It can be jarring to play with Modern Controls when you don’t realize it. If you feel off during a match, check you’re not using Modern Controls. You will see an M or C icon above your health bar; this indicates which control scheme you’re in.
