On July 4, 2024, MiHoYo, Inc., a Shanghai-based game development studio, released Zenless Zone Zero, an online free-to-play action role-playing game (marketed outside mainland China as HoYoverse, published by Cognosphere, d/b/a MiHoYo), on Windows, iOS, Android, and PlayStation 5, with a focus on multiplayer.
An assist is simply when you switch into another character’s body and have them deal damage to targets on your behalf. You can perform an assist in a variety of ways, and each Assist deals different damage.
How To Do Quick Assists in Zenless Zone Zero
- A Defensive Assist is when you quickly switch to a teammate and have them block the enemy’s attack before following up with their own.
- An Evasive Assist is when you evade the enemy’s attack and quickly switch to a teammate who will follow up with an attack.
- A Quick Assist is when you immediately switch to the character in the next position and automatically follow up with an attack.
- To perform a Perfect Assist, obtain assist points, switch before an attack hits, and then launch an Assist Follow-Up.
