On July 4, 2024, MiHoYo, Inc., a Shanghai-based game development studio, released Zenless Zone Zero, an online free-to-play action role-playing game (marketed outside mainland China as HoYoverse, published by Cognosphere, d/b/a MiHoYo), on Windows, iOS, Android, and PlayStation 5, with a focus on multiplayer.
How To Gain Energy in Zenless Zone Zero?
In contrast to previous Hoyoverse games, characters now use energy instead of decibels to power up their EX Special attacks. Energy is exclusive to each character, and it is charged separately.
- Each character uses energy to perform their own EX Special Attacks.
- Special Attacks EX are enhanced versions of Special Attacks.
- There is a separate charge for each character’s energy.
- Any character can gain energy by hitting enemies.
- Characters will receive Energy back from certain W-Engines and Mindscape Cinemas.
- Discs like Noisy Pop and W-Englines like The Vault have substats that provide Energy Regen.
- It is possible for certain Bangboos to provide Energy Regent.
