Sunbreak has introduced a new ranking system called Anomaly Research Levels. In this guide, you will find out about the point system and how you can max out your Anomaly Research Level as quickly as possible. This will allow you to take on and defeat monsters of ever increasing levels.
Raising the Level of Anomaly Research Efficiently
In Level 121+ Anomaly Investigations, hunt Seething Bazelgeuse
Despite the addition of new A8 monsters, Afflicted Seething Bazelgeuse remains the best farming monster beyond level 200! Once you reach level 121, it becomes the most efficient monster to hunt for Anomaly Research Level! Since Egil Bowgun is very weak to Ice, the previous Egil Bowgun Build against Diablos in Level 51+ still works.

Diablos can be hunted for Level 51+ anomaly investigations
Anomaly Investigations can be taken on with a afflicted Diablos. It can be taken down with a Heavy Bowgun using Piercing Ice Ammo within 3-6 minutes, allowing you to collect Prime Amber Essences quickly.

The quests for Diablos are worth 380 points before adjustments. If you want to earn more points, do quests for other monsters weak to Ice, like Seething Bazelgeuse.
Hunt Daimyo Hermitaur for Anomaly Investigations Level 50 and Below
With a light bowgun and Piercing Thunder Ammo, you can defeat the Daimyo Hermitaur in about three minutes or less. The quests of the Daimyo Hermitaur provide a base of 220 points before adjustments, which makes it an excellent source of Afflicted Dragon Blood at level 31, which you will be able to use to enhance the anomalies of your weapon.

How to get Bonus points for Anomaly Research Level
Respond to Requests for Research
As a way of earning bonus completion points, Bahari will send you Research Requests that need to be completed in order for you to get bonus points. Completing these requests will earn you a certain number of points. The monsters requested are completely random, and the level is generally around your current progress level.

When farming, take advantage of multipliers
In some cases, anomaly investigations have special conditions that affect the number of points you receive. In general, if a change to the quest makes it easier, you’ll receive fewer points, while stricter conditions reward bonus points. These adjustments or multipliers stack with the Research Request and each other.

Make sure you finish investigations within 20 levels of your current level and avoid quests that have a less than 100% adjustment.
Anomaly Investigations with bigger multipliers will maximize your gains if you’re farming for Afflicted Materials.
Bonus Multiplier From Lv 1 – 220
Each successful investigation will result in a 150% adjustment for hunters between levels 1 and 120 in Sunbreak Version 13.
There has been an increase in the points per level in Version 15 of the game to help hunters catch up faster and reach 300 levels more quickly. You will receive four times as many points when you begin climbing the ranks as you did previously.

Other Point Bonuses
It is important to keep in mind that there are several other factors that can affect the number of points you earn after each investigation. These factors include fixed bonuses as well as multipliers based on the difficulty level of the quest.

Hunting and Gathering Bonuses
Monster parts broken during the investigation are worth 6 points. They are affected by the final multiplier. Harvesting from afflicted gathering points is worth 3 points. While these seem small, they can add up, especially if you do several quests in a row and harvest on your way to the monster.

Multi-Monster Hunts
You will sometimes receive investigations with multiple target monsters. These can be good if you can maximize the multipliers. Each additional target monster provides a different amount of points based on its rank. Afflicted Diablos, for example, reward 380 points, while regular Diablos receive 190 points. Monsters without afflicted versions have their own points, as can be seen in the table below.

How to Check Your Level of Anomaly Research
Your current Anomaly Research Level and the points needed to progress it can be found on the Status screen. The amount of points you need to increase it depends on your current level.
