Players are asking Mojang to end Minecraft’s annual mob vote and provide them with more content ahead of this weekend’s Minecraft Live.
Almost 348k signatures have been added to the Change.org petition about the issue, which was initiated by Holly Mavermorne and is titled “Stop the Mob Vote: Stop the scrapping of great ideas”. According to it, there are three equally great options in this year’s vote, one of which would make it into the game under the current system, so the mob vote is “inherently flawed”.
The petition states that the Mob Vote generates engagement by tearing apart the community, leaving fantastic ideas on the cutting room floor, and teasing content that won’t be shown in the game.
