Pocket Pair released their Future Updates Road Map for Palworld via their Official Discord and X Accounts! Many updates have been slated including 2 different types of PvP (one for players, and a Pal Exclusive Arena), New Pals, Post Game Raid Bosses, multiple bug fixes, as well as new Islands and Technology!
Palworld PvP Combat Experience
PvP has been confirmed by the developers to come soon in a future version of the game! This could work similar to how games like Fortnite and other survival shooter games where you’re expected to build structures and catch Pals to protect yourself and be the last player standing!
Pal PvP Arena
Something the trailers have teased and has just been confirmed for future update is a PvP Arena where you can take your trained Pals and have them duke it out in an Arena! This mode could possibly even give time limited rewards and player ranking systems to improve player retention!
Multiplayer Raid Bosses
Pocketpair has also announced Raids where the Boss Pall would have an inflated HP Pool and will be expected to connect to other players in order to take it down.
This could also mean that we might get new skills in order to help support the party while allies whittle down the boss!
Steam-Xbox Crossplay
Crossplay is available for players with the same distribution service even if they are on different consoles. This means that a PC player can visit an Xbox’s player’s world as long as both are on Game Pass.
A future update could mean that players on PC can finally play Palworld with friends on Xbox!
Improvements to the Building System
Currently, the building system works like a regular crafting game that you can automate by having Pals with the Handiwork Suitability do the work for you.
Currently, higher level items and matrials still take a lot of effort and grinding in order to minmax the game. Future updates my introduce easier and faster ways to catch up so you can also participate in more difficult challenges.
Palworld Server Transfers and Migrations
Palworld currently does not allow the direct transfer of single-player characters to multiplayer servers. You can only do so when playing as a Host, where you will be able to switch between single-player and multiplayer.
This allows you to keep your progress from single-player, while being able to invite others to play in your world. However, with modes like raids and PvP, it could be possible that players can progress on an easier world in order to efficiently build for future meta.
Palworld Future Additional Content
New Islands
Currently, the only island we are able to explore is the current Palpagos Island. Future content will provide us with more Pals, items, and even landscapes for Players to fully immerse themselves into!
New Pals
Currently, we have a total of 111 unique species of Pals available in-game. Future content is guaranteed to have more Pals coming like the previously announced Boltmane and Dragostrophe!
New Technologies
We currently have 50 Levels worth of Technology that we can unlock in-game and more is set to release. Maybe this will let us use items like Fuel so we can use vehicles and have Pals drive us around or other machinery to make Pals work more efficiently.
More Tower Bosses
Currently, there are five (5) tower bosses to defeat. But Pocketpair has announced via Palworld’s official Twitter account that more tower bosses are planned in future updates.
World Date Rollbacks
Due to an unknown bug, Players have noticed that their respective worlds aren’t properly logging how many in-game days have passed since they started the game. A fix is expected in a future update.
Long Loading Screen Time
However, some players have been reporting of the Loading Screen getting stuck and getting them into very long or even unresponsive loading screens.
This is similar to a bug found when Palworld released where the game launches on a black screen and becomes unresponsive, which the developers have acknowledged and have fixed.
Pal AI and Pathing Issues
The Pal Pathfinding Bug disorients a Pal’s pathfinding protocol, which interrupts it from performing any autonomous Base Tasks or even going to a feed box to eat.
The Pal Pathfinding Bug can also cause Pals to “clip” into certain environmental objects, which traps them in certain corners or stops them from moving completely.
Other Improvements
Other improvements to the game are also planned for future Versions of the game, to improve including key configuration improvements and Base Pal AI and Pathfinding!
Something a lot of players are expecting are improvements to certain issues in the game like Pals dropping tasks they’re in the middle of or even overworld level scaling.
Palworld Full Release Date
As of writing, Palworld can only be played via early access. With all the bugs and other improvements they need to work on, it’s possible that it might take them 1 full year to release the full game.
Having said this, we can expect the full game to release by 2025.
