In 1986, Konami released Jackal for arcades, also known as Top Gunner, a shoot-’em-up game with an overhead run ‘n gun style. On September 1988, Jackal was released in North America for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in which the player had to maneuver an armed jeep to rescue prisoners of war (POWs) trapped in enemy territory. See the Amiga port version of jackal by NeesoGames here.

This project attempts to port the NES version with various improvements and Arcade elements on Amiga (OCS-ECS) as an entry for #AmiGameJam 2021.
ABOUT THIS GAME
Jackal runs on any Amiga with 2MB or RAM or more ( I will focus on optimizing the memory usage later on when more levels are done) but, to enjoy the best experience possible, it is strongly reccomanded to use accelerated hardware.
