Cattiva is the best Palworld starter pal, and Foxparks, Daedream, and Vixy are the best Palworld early-game pals. Read on to discover which Palworld pals are best for battles, crafting, and building bases.
Whether you’re crafting or building bases, Cattiva is a great starter pal
Cattiva is found in the area at the beginning of the game, so it’s a good place to spend the first Pal Sphere you craft. It has a limited amount of combat experience, but its true value comes from its crafting and base-building proficiency, which you will be beginning at this point in the game.

As a matter of fact, Cattiva has access to the following work Responsibilities right from the start, which are all highly useful for agricultural work and crafting.
- Handiwork: A Worksuitability that allows it to construct structures and craft items at Workbenches. The most important Worksuitability of all.
- Mining: This ability allows it to mine Stone and Paldium Fragments (not Ore; Mining Level 2 is required for that).
- Gathering: Provides it with the ability to gather crops from Berry Plantations
- Transporting: Provides the capability of carrying gathered materials and storing them in wooden chests
With Cattiva, you also get a +50 Weight Increase Cattiva’s passive ability, Cat Helper, increases your weight, thus increasing the amount of stuff you can carry by +50 for every Cattiva in your party (this stacks!) This makes it an ideal starting pal for out in the field and your base. Your adventure begins right where Cattiva lives in packs, so you can catch it instantly.
