While some stats in Rogue Trader are laid out clearly, most of them are a little confusing to understand. Here’s what Rate of Fire is in Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader.
What Does Rate of Fire Mean in Rogue Trader?

Rate of Fire is a stat on any ranged weapons that determines how many times it can fire in a single attack. This isn’t a note of how many times that weapon can attack in a round, but rather the amount of bullets used. For example, the default Bolter that Argenta uses when you first get her has a Rate of Fire of 3. This means that when you use the Burst Fire ability of the weapon, it will fire three times. A Rate of Fire of 1 just means the weapon can’t fire in burst mode.
