Infinite Craft is a 2024 sandbox browser game developed by Neal Agarwal in which the player starts with four elements—earth, wind, fire, and water—and combines them to create fictional characters, astrological beings, and people. There are infinite elements in the game because LLaMA and Together AI produce new elements.
Gameplay
It is possible for the player to craft various elements by using previous ones obtained in Infinite Craft. Infinite Craft consists of four components: fire, wind (which replaces air), water, and earth, which can be combined to create new ones. Elements can be dragged from the sidebar and combined by placing them on top of each other; for example, fire and water make steam, and wizards and plants make druids.
There are elements in the game such as objects, poems, fictional characters, the universe, philosophical concepts, video games, sports players, teams, animals, and God. If a player is the first to discover an element, the game tells them that it is a “First Discovery.”
Development and release
New York-based Neal Agarwal developed Infinite Craft for his website, neal.fun. The game uses generative AI; the language model LLaMA invents the elements, while Together AI hosts the servers. As a result of the popularity of the game, Agarwal decided to use Together AI. According to Agarwal, when a new element is created, LLaMA is prompted to determine its outcome.
